The Planning level is for people who have decided to travel for treatment, but do not want to design and hold the whole trip on their own. This article shows what a Planning package includes in practice and what you can expect for around 2,000 USD.
Where Planning fits
Every client starts with a free 30‑minute call to understand your situation and see whether working together makes sense.
If you decide to continue, there are three levels of support:
Guidance helps you think clearly about your options.
Planning turns your decision into a structured, realistic plan.
Coordination adds active support while you are away.
Planning sits in the middle: not just advice, not yet full on‑trip support.
What Planning includes
At a high level, a Planning package typically includes about 6–8 hours of work from CuraVela, spread across calls, research, and preparation of written materials. For roughly 2,000 USD, you can expect:
Calls and conversations
A longer call to map your situation and the treatment plan in detail.
A planning call to translate that into dates, locations, and daily rhythm.
A pre‑departure call to walk through the final plan together and answer last questions.
Asynchronous support
Email or WhatsApp exchanges between calls to refine details, choose between options, and clarify points from your clinic, always within agreed working hours.
Behind‑the‑scenes work
Reviewing clinic schedules and guidance.
Researching and shortlisting accommodation that fits your needs.
Mapping travel days, clinic days, and rest days into a coherent trip.
Thinking with you about who covers what at home while you are away.
Concrete deliverables
Planning is not just conversations. You leave with documents you can actually use when your energy or attention is low.
Typical Planning deliverables include:
Trip overview (1 page)
A simple summary that shows:Travel dates.
How many days you will be near the clinic.
Which days are clinic‑heavy.
Which days are deliberately lighter.
This is the “one glance” version you and the people around you can understand quickly.
Day‑by‑day plan
A more detailed outline of each day, including:Clinic start time and likely end time.
When to plan for rest or quiet time.
Any pre‑booked transport or important notes.
Optional, gentle activities on lighter days, clearly marked as optional.
The goal is not to control every hour, but to give a realistic sense of the rhythm of the trip so you are not deciding everything on the fly.
“While I’m away” home sheet
A simple document to leave with the people in your life, covering:Key dates and how to reach you.
Who is responsible for what at home (children, pets, household tasks, bills).
Anything that is intentionally being paused until you return.
This helps reduce last‑minute stress and repeated explanations.
Short contingency note
A one‑ or two‑page guide for a few common “what if” situations, such as:A delayed flight on the way there.
A clinic day that runs much longer than expected.
Waking up feeling too unwell for anything beyond treatment.
It is not a full manual, but it gives you simple next steps when your brain is not at its best.
What Planning does not include
It is just as important to be clear about what Planning is not.
Planning does not include:
24/7 availability.
Real‑time problem solving for every change once you are already traveling.
Acting as a medical emergency contact.
Taking over all decisions; you are still the decision‑maker.
You can expect one or two brief check‑ins around departure and early in your trip if needed, but ongoing active support while you are away belongs in the Coordination level.
Is Planning the right level?
Planning tends to be a good fit if:
You have decided to go for treatment, but the logistics feel heavy or overwhelming.
You want a structured plan and clear documents, not just a list of ideas.
You are comfortable carrying the plan once it has been created, as long as you do not have to design it yourself.
If you mainly need clearer thinking about whether to go and which clinic to choose, Guidance may be enough. If you know that once you are in treatment you will want active help dealing with changes and small crises, Coordination may be worth considering.
When you are ready, a free 30‑minute call is the place to start. From there, CuraVela and Dianna can help you decide whether Planning is the right level of support for your situation.
